That’s the question we try to answer in this short animated video. If you search for the definition of “instructional design”, you’ll find phrases like “systematic methodology”, “learning experiences”, and “application of knowledge”. While these phrases can be helpful in understanding what instructional design is, it’s often more helpful to see it in action. So we attempted to do just that, by breaking the Instructional Design process into its simplest form and presenting it in a fun, quick and understandable way using an example we can all relate to.
This video was produced entirely in Articulate Storyline. Since Storyline is our preferred software for producing custom elearning modules, we thought we’d use it produce the video. You don’t need to know Abobe Premiere or After Effects to make an effective video. We made ours using the standard animation and transition effects built into Storyline. The animation was built across a series of slides for easy management, editing. and synching. When it was just right, we published it as a high definition video.
